Antique brass bowl with floral relief and openwork decorative elements, made around 1900 by the metalware manufacturer Friedrich Wilhelm Quist in Esslingen. The surface features typical Art Nouveau elements such as symmetrically arranged lilies, clovers, and curved linear ornamentation. The reverse is hallmarked with the diamond "FWQE."
Total length 44 cm, width 25 cm (approx. 17.3 x 9.8 inches).
The bowl is in very good condition and shows signs of age such as patina, localized oxidation and a slightly downward-bent corner in the opening area.
This elegant bowl is a typical example of German designs from around 1900, combining an expressive blend of floral ornamentation with functional design. A highlight for any collection and a perfect addition to any table or dresser.
